Commentaire :
Fascinating and chilling story Britain after “The Change”, which is the catastrophic consequences of global warming. All we really learn about that is that sea levels have risen. Britain is now surrounded by a wall built to keep the Others out. The narrator is a guard on the wall and the author brilliantly relates his story of long periods of boredom disrupted by the sudden violence of attacks by the Others. The story is, however, curiously ethno-centric and you are left wondering what happened to the rest of Europe and the world. Still, a thrilling and thought-provoking read.
